3,000 Miles Apart But Only A Click Away

We miss everyone so much but we are so glad to be connected again at least over the internet. We are finally getting adjusted here and are almost unpacked. It was pretty hard living out of our suitcases for almost 2 weeks, but the Lord got us through it and I can honestly say we are stronger now. We put together a brief overview of the area and us and we will keep you updated as time passes. Love you all please feel free to comment.

Photos of Albany
So, we decided to post some photos of Albany, NY for those of you who have never had the chance to visit upstate New York or the Capital Region. It is very beautiful here with rolling hills covered in trees and foliage. The Capital Region runs right along the Hudson River and is 15 Minutes from Vermont, 30 minutes to Conneticut, 2 and 1/2 hours from Boston and New York City, and 3 hours to Montreal Canada. We have yet to visit any of these places but we'll be sure to post if we do.

The city is known for it's historic architecture and monuments. Most of the current establishments in the downtown business distict are located in renovated 19th century buildings.

There are also darling cozy brownstones running up and down the streets of Albany just like in "You've Got Mail". I can't wait to see the city during the Holidays, although it is supposed to snow alot here so I'm sure we'll be in for a big suprise.

We didn't get to take many pictures of our new apartment when we were here so we took a few to let you know where we are living. We are in Watervliet, a few minutes away from downtown, and our apartments are right in the middle of a beautiful wooded area.

Another thing we noticed here is the amount of cemetaries, they are everywhere. Are apartment happens to be right next to one, and most of the gravestones are dated back to the early 1800's. That street leads back to our apartments and is right next to the graveyard.
