Trip to Vermont

Today we took a trip to Manchester, Vermont where we managed to run into some outlet stores amongst the beautiful countryside.
It was a drizzling day, but the air was crisp and refreshing and sure sign that the Fall season was just around the corner.

From the looks of the sky to the right you can tell we were lucky to not get swallowed up by that ominous tornado...Okay, it wasn't really a twister, but we sure enjoyed the coziness of such a dark atmosphere.

The outlet stores had a charming appeal to them. Much of the architecture we've seen seems to maintain more of a classic look and feel rather than newer, stucco-type buildings, which is kind of neat because it adds to the overall mystique of the area. The stores filled these colonial houses, winding around trees galore, spanning several city blocks. Thinking about the tree-filled horizon, though the drive took longer than expected, the trip was well worth the time.
